LASER Surgery for GLAUCOMA
SLT (selective laser trabeculoplasty) is a successful procedure to reduce or eliminate the need for eye drops or supplement the effect of eye drops. The procedure has largely replaced ALT (argon laser trabeculoplasty) as it is thought to be safer and does not create scar tissue and has virtually identical results.
The cost of SLT is variable but in our center it is about 1995. Prices will vary depending on contracts and requirements of different insurance carriers.
