Patient Education – Oculoplastics

Oculoplastics is a subspecialty of ophthalmology that deals with the diagnosis and treatment of conditions affecting the eyelids, tear ducts, and orbit (eye socket). Some of the conditions that are diagnosed and treated in oculoplastics include eyelid tumors, ptosis (drooping eyelids), orbital fractures, and tear duct disorders. Oculoplastic surgeons use a variety of surgical and non-surgical techniques to treat these conditions, including eyelid surgery, orbital surgery, and injections of botulinum toxin (Botox) or dermal fillers [1]

As a general ophthalmologist we have years of training and experience with disorders of the eye lid, skin, and tissue around the eye.
