Were you blinded by the (sun) light?
If you had safety approved glasses or merely glanced without them at the sun/eclipse chances are good that you have suffered no permanent damage.
If you see
- a central blind spot
- multiple blind spots
- letters are missing
- trouble reading
- blurry vision
- loss of color vision
- even headaches
you may have damage.
