Secondary Cataract

Secondary Cataract-

When we remove the cataract, ideally we leave a scaffold in place to hold the implant in place.   Initially is starts out clear like saran wrap, but over time it can turn cloudy like wax paper.   If your vision initially is clear but over time after your cataract surgery begins to cloud, it may be due to a capsular opacification or “Secondary Cataract”.  This condition is easily diagnosed on a routine eye exam and can be managed with a laser.
